specific directory for my ftp user
hello guys, i need your help for some basic configuration on my proftpd.conf. i was successfully install profptd in my server and all users in my server can now used the ftp.
but my problem is all users will go to there home directory which i don't like. and i don't know how to set-up certain ftp directory for certain user. for example in the accout of 'pedro' in my server i want to create folder for him for ftp use so i will then create this directory [pedro:~] pedro% sudo mkdir pedroftp so, we have now pedroftp folder. what i want is when pedro login using the ftp and when it successfully login, pedro can get inside directly to the folder i created which is in pedroftp. What will be the configuration in my proftpd.coft. i really don't know how to do it. is anybody have the good heart to help me... thank you. hi,
i am using WSFTP Server for Windows base. I can simply edit the user rule and i can direct him to his 'user directory'. e.g: ID= syskplim UserDir= dir_kplim <this is a folder name that i created in home directory> when this user login my ftp, he will be directed to this folder. Your ProFTPd is in Unix base. i think it will have something similar to WSFTP. i don't know whether this link can help you. Hope this help. ![]() |
