Strange FTP problems
Hey all - hope someone can help us with this.
We are currently running a server in Ohio (we being in Seattle) which hosts a very large amount of our clients websites. Just yesterday we were moving some of the root folders onto hard disk for backup and editing purposes when the server booted us off. At first I thought that the server may have crashed so we went ahead and rebooted it - moments later we were still unable to connect to any of our sites hosted on the particular server.
Strangely enough the server is up and running fine.. all the sites are accessible through http but for some reason not through FTP... but here is a catch... It's only our office that cannot connect via FTP. The obvious first answer was firewall.. I personally shut off the firewall software, anti virus software, and firmware firewalls... Still no luck.
Hours later the FTP access came back - thinking nothing of it but some strange hiccup in the system - I grabbed the folders again and began to copy them (via cuteftp6.0) to the hard disk. Once again, at 2.07m downloaded (on the same folder) I was forcefully rejected from the server and now cannot log back from this office.
I called the company who manages our server to see if it was anything on their end. They say they are having no problems making a connection what so ever and that it IS something on our end.
The error we are experiencing in cuteFTP is socketerror#10054
here is a pic of the error >>

What could have happened? What could the solution be?
Thanks in advance,
