Uploading files on FREE server w/out FTP

I have free hosting, but I can't get FTP access from within my college because of a firewall (I've used passive transfer mode etc. using my ftp program but it doesn't work)

I want to test '.php' pages, so I tried a script to upload files from a webpage itself...

http://www.edevcafe.com/docs/46.html

I get a 'called to undefined function exec() ' error message and various other messages (the function 'phpinfo()' doesn't seem to work either).

Does anybody know any way in which I can upload files to the free server from my college computers?

Thanks!

Well if phpinfo(); does not work... Make sure your host actually HAS php? Maybe you need to use extensions like .php3 or .php4 . I can tell you that uploading will help avoiding the firewall... But I am not sure the free host gave access to php to do this. Depending on kind of server etc. I really need some more info to help you out man...

Thanks BadGuy

I've just read the forums for the host in question, coolfreepages.com and it appears other people are having trouble with phps' upload functions

Somebody has suggested Lycos (PHP4U) so I'm going to check them out!
