Question User Help

Hi all, I was wondering how to add user accounts to my ftp server (first off my ftp server is accesed remotly so i only login and read/write acces and i can change permision) how do i add users so they can log onto my ftp but they only have access to certain folders, then i want to be able to log in myself and have access to all folders.

eg. user Ryan - access folders......- Text
...............................................- Html
...............................................- Java

user Grant - access folder.........-Text

user Mike - access folder........-Html

After this how do they log into the ftp server. For example log onto ftp://ftp.shaw.ca
username trackstar1013
pass ***********

logs onto trackstar1013@ftp.shaw.ca

whilst

username trackstar1014
pass ***********

logs onto trackstar1014@ftp.shaw.ca

Please help me on this, i am experinced with ftp, but i dont know how to use php or cgi (im dumb) so please explain how to do it.

Thank you
