want to change address of ftp server from ip address to ftp.blah.sytes.net
I have no idea where to post this, but i looked all over the internet, and am seeking direction. I have an ftp server via warftp, and i also go through no-ip.com to have them direct a free domain name to my dynamic ip address. in order to log on to the ftp server, i have to log on via the ip address for the ftp address. the address to my apache (or my machine rather) via no-ip is http://dky.sytes.net how would i make it so that the ftp can be opened by ftp.dky.sytes.net. i searched around on the internet, and pretty much have no idea what to put in the search boxes. I have a hard enough time explaining what i'm trying to do. if i would have better "luck" in another forum, please either move this topic, or point me in the right direction. Thank you all.

In their control panel you can check "Allow Wildcards". This should be all you need to do ![]() hth, M.
