Wireless modem matter when FTP?
(((total ftp ingorant but i've tried a gazillion other things)))
I just got the site built (some of it anyway) and downloaded ALFTP to upload and see how it looks. I've used the hosting service's web app and that works fine but I am not going to go file-by-by to upload this site. I've entered my password & user ID & ftp addy & remote directory (((this totally throws me because i'm really not certain what they mean by "absolute path"))) but I tried a number of things I think would have been right::: sitenameblabla/public_ *and* /public *and simply* / and so on but it just says "RESOLVING HOST NAMEblabla (my friend's jewlery biz) Anyone know what ovbious thing I am doing wrong. I'm sure this all my be TMI but whatever - I hate to bug my dh. thanks for any help you have to offer ![]() |

If it stop as resolving host name, there could be an issue with it.
If you type nslookup hostname at the command prompt, what happens? |

Were you able to find a resolution?
Try to, in an organized manner, give us as much info as is secure and feasible and I think you'll have a resolution soon enough if not already. This can be a very simple process, things like this happen all the time, so just don't stress over it. Good luck! |
