Is there a way to disable anonymous ftp? I am not sure if it is handled by apache, but it seems logical that it would be. I don't know much about linux, and apache and I am kind of learning as I go. All help is appreciated.

I think you can edit a file called /etc/ftpaccess
and remove the anonymous name.
however on debian i think the file is /etc/ftpusers and what you would do is actually add the name anonymous for this file lists the users to disallow.

On Red Hat Linux machines, there is a anonftp package ... I've never done it, but I bet deleteing it (see 'man rpm') would disable anonymous ftp pretty well. Better yet, disable ftp all together in /etc/inetd.conf.
