Restricting access on ftp?
I have a domain, how do i restrict access to it? for example i had a folder called "directory". I want to create another ftp user but it should ONLY have access to this folder, also the user can only upload files and not able to read/get files as i would like to give access to other users too?
googling didnt seem to help, but do i need a config file in my root folder?
or do I simply right click on a folder and change the permission so people cannot read but just write into it? similarly any folder i dont want to give access to, i can right click and change permission?
is it that simple or is there more work involved?

It depends on what FTP server you're using; all of them have different ways of configuring access controls.

# ln -s /bin/bash /bin/rbash
# vim /etc/passwd
change it so that:
where user-to-be-restricted is the user to be restricted
