[GD:General] A few Questions
Hi all,
This are more graphics questions than game question but this is the best forum for it by far. Question 1: Would it be advisable to enforce (or lock) a 32 bits color depth scheme and not offer 16 bits colors at all? Seems like most modern hardware is more than capable of handling it. Question 2: What texture compression (not file compression) do you use for your games (in OpenGL)? I've looked at S3TC and FXT1 but I'm not quite blown away by the resulting image quality. Much dithering IMO. That's all for now, input would be appreciated. ![]()

Question 1: Having the option open to the player would be the best choice. Assuming everyone that plays your game can run 32 bit mode would not be a good practice.
