Java game engines?
I know Java isn't the preferred language, and there probably isn't anything like panda3d, but what options are there for java game engines? Especially on the "less complicated" side.

GTGE is a 2d sprite engine. It is currently being updated, and is very simple to use. There are also a bunch of games with source available, so it doesn't get much "less complicated" than this. It also has a small, yet very friendly and helpful community if you have any questions. =)
You mentioned panda3d, I have no idea what that is, but I assume it is for 3d game development? I would check out Jake2. I don't know much about it, but it looks cool. A Google search for "java 3d game engine" lead me HERE. Again, I dont really know anything about it. Hope this helps =)
