Linkwork Spanish - need to edit

I've got linkword spanish. Simple program, 1 exe file and .dll. Folder of sound files and a folder of few text file and .DAT (which im guessing contains all the spanish phrases etc) Problem is the background is black and all the writing is bright yellow and it hurts to read. Ive checked the files, nothing to change in text files. Cant edit the .DAT, think its in unicode, tried to convert it on some sites but didn't work. Can someone tell me how i can change the text colour?
