Making a map
Hello, Im wondering how people have done there maps in games? I saw an RPG allegro tutorial where they put their map into an array. It was like:
1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 2, 3, 2, 2, 2, 4, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, Where 1 equaled wall, 2 equaled grass, 3 equaled the player and 4 equaled the enermy. And did it like that. What other ideas have people got to work? - Cheers, Daniel |
