Question Other 'game devers'

hey , I love making simple games like spaceinvaders , and a cheap platformer the crashes about every 5 minutes( ), it gives me something to do.

NOTE: I'm 12, and i use c++/Allegro, not GameMaker or RPGmaker, like those other 'cool' 12 year olds.

my point is that (think of this as caculus), losers who make more mistakes than secsess, inspire the real game devers that code in languages and API or Blitz

Don't worry. As you grow up you'll be glad that you have started programming so early. Assuming of course you hope to get a career in programming. To be honest, I don't even know what your post right there means.

Heh, this is a fun thread don't know why I didn't spot it before.

I wrote my first "game" when I was 8 - a text adventure in BASIC on the Spectrum... In fact I think that's the reason I never learned to ride a bike!

By the time I was 12 I was a bit confused without anyone to really point me in the direction of how to make games. I messed around with game creators like STOS on the Atari ST and AMOS on the Amiga trying to make an epic roleplaying game, with no real success. I developed hideous programming habits that stuck with me until I was thoroughly thrashed into shape at Uni...

Now, after a few years of making boring software for a living, I'm a games developer... I wouldn't go as far as to say I was one before now, but my FPS demo has been described as "cool" by the guys who hired me

I can't really say that starting early helped!

How the hell does one ride a bike anyway? It's impossible, the thing just falls over!!
