Starting a new game
I want to develop an open source game that is client-server and turn-based. The network communication will not be too intense. I was wondering if somebody could point me into some resources that might help me get started in a venture like this.
JAVA is my main expertise, but other recommendations would be appreciated as well. Thanks! |

So you are recommending designing the socket code by hand? I thought there might be an open source engine available that I could use that might hide some of the implementation detail (like socket code), but if not, I shall try by hand.
