    Learn the Programming language!

    For this job you have to learn the Programming language first. I will suggest C/C++ To learn at beginning.

    Lightbulb ...to become a game developer

    You need to think about following points to become a game developer:

    1. Platform...web, mobile, desktop, console?

    2. Language...depends upon the selection of the platform, Android needs Java, iOS needs Objective C etc etc.

    3. Frameworks and libraries...again depends upon the choice of platform

    4. Game editors...Unity3D, for example.

    The only way to become a competant game programmer is to simply write code and learn from doing. You'll want to follow the tutorials to help you grasp core concepts, but go out and write your own code of your own devising, in order to solidify that understanding. It is important to know the basics of programming(C/C++).

    Yes as you said, Android Game Developers should have brief knowledge in all programming languages and frameworks. They have update their knowledge regularly.

    I suppose you`ve chose the right first step. Just sit in specialised forums and read articles/threads on it.
    Also I would advise you to learn some 3d-modelling and gamemap modelling literature as well as to try to make a mod to your favorite game using info from this game`s fan communty.

    I would start learning C/C++,
    Learn Linear Algebra, and then
    Learn OpenGL.

    Practice, practice, practice coding. Afterwards, move to a platform where you are interested in, such as Androids, Web, or other platforms that you are interested in.

    I would recommend C/C++ too, you can do so much with them, and so many other programming languages borrowed from them.
