This is a great deal , my current hired person is charging me $300 for one script!

Thus, in my opinioin, that is the difference between quality and quantity. Outsourcing is for those who want things fast and cheap (cheap in both price and quality of work).

Please don't tell me these Flash templates are YOURS. They are pre-made and available to anyone.

The website designs might be appreciated by some, but are very typical of mass produced sites I've encountered.

I wish you the best of luck and I am sure you will win projects based on price alone. But I would rather have quality over quantity.

With outsourcing, you have to read between the lines. $3 an hour is crap pay, why would someone do good work for less than half of US minimum wage? From my experience actually doing a few contract jobs for outsourcing companies based in India, I could tell you first hand that you DO get what you pay for. I can't speak for this outsourcing company as I have not done work for them, but a majority of them just slap together some free scripts or do some coding that's worse than a college freshman's work. And I think it's especially telling when several outsourcing companies have contracted me from time to time for code review and small scripting work.

When a person decides to outsource to india, it tells me something. They've ran out of ideas and have decided to cut corners, sacraficing quality for quantity. If they outsource to Romaina, it tells me they've decided to sacrafice security AND quality.

However, there ARE many experienced and good Indian programmers out there, and you can tell by their prices (these can sometimes be less than others rates, but not by a whole lot. One of these type of programmers would probably do the script you need for $250 rather than $300).

Damn, i can't believe it... people starting to understand that they'll get **** for $3 per hour.. I hope it's not too late....

With any luck, more and more people will realize this. It would be nice to put an end to the sensless outsourcing and actually hire people who create quality material, not to mention bringing the jobs back to the US.

No, it's more like designers/programmers lie myself already know.
People like Calum™ will still fall off their seat over this "great deal" and, thinking it's a great bargain, will hire them.

Sadly, other sites (like slashdot) continue to show that damn ad that says "Get the free white paper on reducing hidden costs by outsourcing" and people continue to look to contract only people from India and Romania for their "great services".
