Analyst / Programmer required.

ANALYST/PROGRAMMER
MAIN OBJECTIVES

To produce, amend and test software components according to design specification and established quality standards. To ensure the delivered software performs in an efficient manner and addresses both explicit and implicit requirements without further changes being necessary.

LOCATION

East Riding - Yorkshire

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

1 Commercial experience of Javascript and VBScript.

2 Commercial experience of Delphi in MSDNA development environment, specifically COM+.

3 Windows 2000 based operating and development environments.

4 Good knowledge of SQL & testing methodologies.

5 Knowledge of XML, preferably MS XML3.0, and Active X.

6 Experience in providing systems solutions to the Retail sector would be advantageous.

7 Experience of full product life cycle in component/OO based development environment.

8 Ability to understand user needs and translate these into a working, verifiable design.

9 Commercial awareness and an appreciation of current IT issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Understand clearly the requirement of the design for the software component as assigned.

2 Develop a detailed verifiable program design, according to established quality standards.

3 Produce components to meet specification and acceptance criteria.

4 Participate in implementation and provide ongoing support of software.

5 Provide documentation as appropriate for software produced, according to published standards.

6 Update own knowledge of latest technologies and products.
