Sigh... college is finally ending for me soon, and unfortunately, I have a copious amount of bills that, quite frankly, won't be covered by my next paycheck. So I'm offering my skills for a limitted amount of time for any freelance work needed.
I'm an expert at PHP, Perl, CSS, javascript, HTML(although I tend to make most pages in XHTML 1.0 Strict unless specified otherwise), and have experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DB2 databases. I am also well versed in C, C++, Java, Python, Ruby, Lisp, and have experience with tk/tcl, Qt3, and Gtk+ toolkits.
I have also done several modifications for OSCommerce (I have also submitted several contributions to Oscomm) including template redesigns and custom implementations, phpBB, phpNuke, and several pay scripts such as webDate and phpClassifieds.
Further, I have 2 years experience administering Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and Mac OSX servers, and would be glad to offer my services on those as well.
I will only accept jobs from serious people only (you must also be above the age of 21, I will not accept work offers from kids) and before beginning the project the buyer must enter a contract to ensure payment (sorry, too many "Sorry, I changed my mind about it" after spending 2 weeks finishing a project). If interested, email me at
carrja@quincy.edu with a brief description of your needs, and I'll respond with a quote and a timescale on how long it will take.
EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to add that I have experience with XML, as well as experience setting up and using PDFLib with PHP. Also, I am a REAL web designer, I don't use Frontpage or Dreamweaver, just good plain old vim to create html in plain text, and I don't use any of those funny table layouts either that so may "web designers" use.
