A Programmer is a midlevel engineer with a strong understanding of computer science and some experience developing
software. A Programmer uses this knowledge to build new game systems and modify existing code. A Programmer may serve as
Lead Programmer on a project-by-project basis.
Implementation of software in C++ and other languages.
Debugging and optimization of software.
Participate in design and code reviews.
Design software systems through consultation and coordination with other programmers. Write design documentation.
Follow group standards and best practices.
Assist and mentor other programmers in areas of domain expertise or specialization.
Interest in expanding knowledge of different game technologies and systems.
Ability to define and estimate time for personal tasks as well as generate and track a schedule for those tasks.
Receive tasks and some technical direction from the lead programmer. Gather requirements, design, write, and
maintain software. Seek advice of other programmers proactively.
Collaborate with artists and designers on the requirements and design of tools and systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years experience in game industry.
Strong aptitude in math and knowledge of computer graphics techniques.
Strong C++ skills.
Desire to mentor and assist other programmers.
A passion for developing for high quality games.

I am completely lost, i really want to know where people like this come from? Is there some website paying people 5 dollars per person that they can get or something? is this like one of those quick money making schemes that some website runs and has a bunch of kids rushing to spam forums with links or w.e, because I really cannot imagine an actual professional company or w.e doing this...

Id appreciate it if someone would explain...

haha yeah I know.

So many are doing it well go to filefront.com and look at how many game demos come out every week and you will find out that it is real and people are trying to get people in game.
