Consulting Engineer - Database Internals - Boston, MA

Looking for a financially stable, growing company that is on the cutting edge of groupware technology? My client is seeking a proven software engineer to lead architecture, design and development efforts for new product functionality.

In this role, you can expect to be a key player on the infrastructure team, and will architect and develop internal storage and database components for my client's server and desktop applications. You will be relied upon to design and develop best-of-breed solutions for new features. The ability to work in a small team is critical.

If you have at least 8 years of C++ development experience and a strong understanding of OO methodologies, you may be exactly what I’m looking for. Previous experience with multi-product integration is required, as is strong file systems development experience. Strong Win32 development experience is critical. You should bring a deep understanding of database internals and scalability as well as a solid background in system software development. The ideal candidate will bring experience developing commercially available database products.
