Consulting Engineer - Middleware - Boston, MA

My client, a privately held company in the greater Boston area, has an immediate need for a top-notch consulting engineer to focus on middleware components for data synchronization or communications and network components. In this role, you will work closely with developers, IT and QA teams to ensure future product features reflect customer needs and changing technology. You will provide the architecture and design, as well as some hands-on development for these infrastructure components.

You should have at least 8 years of proven software development experience, with a focus on C++, COM/ATL, and Microsoft development tools. You should have a broad understanding of systems software development and have a keen eye for addressing performance and scalability issues. Solid background in either communications/network components or data synchronization is required. Solid understanding of object oriented methodologies is critical.
