Drag & Drop websites

hello everyone, i joined...(currying sympathy for my case :-P) i desperately need help.

i have been commissioned to design a interior decor website, which is fine, but i am having a huge problem with an aspect of it. the drag and drop room. they want something where the user can be able to choose a basic room and start to drag and drop features like colors, furniture, curtains etc to the room.

i have no problem preparing the 3D images for the design but i am hopeless with the coding aspect which allows users to drag and drop, save, undo, email the custom room to themselves and the company and so on. i know it is a lot to ask. but can anyone point me in the right direction so i can read up on it or if that fails to direct me to a reliable outsourcing company that will do this for me.
i am looking forward to replies.. once more am new to web dev and this site... one more shamelessly currying sympathy .

thanx a lot

Welcome to DevShed Forums, nykegodess.

My recommendation would be that you hire someone with experience in doing this sort of thing. Since you don't seem to know much about JavaScript or Flash, it would take you at least a few months to learn this.

While you posted in the correct forum, it receives relatively little traffic here, so I'm moving this thread to the HTML forum where you might get more replies.

Drag & Drop Websites

Thank you so much for your reply. i know links arent allowed here, but if someone can send me a private message with a link of trusted outsourcing companies, i will be eternally grateful. where i live, this sort of programming isnt common, so it will be harder to find someone here.

i gather it can be done with javascript and flash. i have a basic knowledge of flash, i can read it up while the person does this project... better myself and all that.
thanx again.

Links are allowed here. However, there is a restriction on new users for their first few posts.

I'm going to move this to the Hire A Programmer forum for you where someone experienced with this might see it. You might also want to check out SitePoint's MarketPlace.
