FT Job - Senior .NET Developer, Washington, D.C.

A systems development and integration firm in Washington, DC seeks a senior .NET developer in the D.C. area. Our client offers a flexible work environment, opportunity for long-term growth and a competitive compensation package that includes base salary, bonus, health care and retirement benefits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for using the latest Microsoft tools such as Visual Studio.NET to development web applications, Visual SourceSafe, SQL Server, and MS Customer Relationship Management to build ASPX functionality and Web Services for its customer. The candidate will also develop Microsoft Access and SQL Server solutions and write ADOs. This position interacts with client employees to determine functionality for software.

REQUIREMENTS:
· BS degree in a computer-related field
· 1-2 years of Microsoft .NET experience using VB.NET or C#; ASPX experience is preferred, ASP experience is required;
· Experience moving data from relational database to objects;
· Experience with Microsoft Access and SQL Server
· Experience with Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services, or another leading report package;
· Client-interface consulting experience;
· Demonstrated ability to define business requirements and system functionality;
· A strong track record of timely delivery of high-quality work;
· Effective communication skills;
· Demonstrated routine use of implementing quality assurance procedures to ensure high quality end products;
· Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals and to facilitate client meetings;

PREFERRED SKILLS:
· Master’s degree in an information technology or business area;
· Experience in finance, accounting, and/or telecommunications.
