Mid-Level Mobile Phone Programmer (J2ME/BREW) Job Summary: You’ve heard the hype: mobile gaming has potential. You’ve got the skills: J2ME and BREW. And now you are looking for a new challenge. At Tomo, we’re developing a set of server-side and mobile-side tools and as well as a new type of gaming application – one that involves personalization, community, and collaboration. In this role, you would apply every ounce of mobile device programming you have in the design, implementation, and optimization of AI on the phone, peer-to-peer communications, mobile mini-games, and phone-side client applications. You would also be responsible for making sure stuff works on all of our supported platforms. Responsibilities: - Design and implement client side mobile applications - Resolve software problems unique to each mobile device - Release updated software to existing clients - Port new and existing software to a variety of phones - Design and implement client side AI and peer-to-peer communications - Work with 3rd party QA/Testing organizations - Design and implement mobile mini-games on a wide variety of mobile platforms Qualifications: - BS in CS, Engineering, Math or related field - Fluent in J2ME (MIDP 1 & 2) and BREW - Excellent object oriented design skills and an appreciation for when not to use them - Demonstrable experience working on popular US mobile handsets (e.g., Nokia Series 40 and 60, Sony Ericsson t616/t610, Motorola T720, etc.) - Proficient problem solver - Self-disciplined enough to work alone; ability to work in groups with ease and comfort - Passion for games - Fervent work ethic Contact us with your resume at: URL |
