I'm happy for you to post it, as long as it doesn't give any sensitive details away. The emails would be good too.

Emails

Some of you have asked that I post the emails sent, see below:

Quote:
I am looking to get a form re-created (see www.snapprinting.com then "Propmt Price" on right side menu).

I need a form reasonably similar to this form, except in PHP. I am just starting, therefore on a tight budget so please let me know how much you would like to create this form for me. Or if you want to supply a free script, you can place a "Powered by" link back to your site on each page of the script.

I wait to hear from you.

So have you had a look at the form on the website? Are you able to recreate this form? You have noticed the options in the dropdown lists on page 2 change according to option selected on page 1? And the date on page 1 is default to 7 days in advance?

Sorry I know these are probably obvious questions, but another person gave me a price and the hadn't had a look at the script and just built a basic multipage form, not dynamic.

Also, how long you think it will take to complete?

As mentioned before, if you have a look at the www.snapprinting.com website then click "Prompt Price" on the right hand side, I am looking for a script as close as possible to the "Prompt Price" Script but in PHP rather than ASP.

Main things to note:

- I only need the script from the page that starts from "Step 1 - The document"
- Only need the program side of things. I'll do all the images and things.
- In step 1 of the script, the "type of Item" drop down list changes the changes the options available in "Finished size of job" in Step 2 depending on selection made.
- In step 5 shows a summary of your information and allows you to add another item.

Thanks

It would appear that you are indeed correct, and that Paul is lying.

This statement does seem to be incorrect, and it does appear that you have paid in advance. I am inclined to support you in this argument. I guess that he has been so busy with school that he doesn't have time for your script, so is pretending never to have known you.

Paul: if you are going to read this, please refund the money or produce the script, as it does appear that you are in the wrong. Programmers who offer services here at Dev Shed, take money, then fail to produce the finished products are of no use to anyone. I'll take this opportunity to give you a warning about the possibility that I may ban you from the forums, preventing you from obtaining any other work from here, unless you act accordingly.

EDIT: I've sent him a private message, telling him to respond to this thread.

Hi,
I'm head of a programmers team and didn't take any payment from client before project finished. But I still haven't got $2500 from one of my first clients. So, currently I'm using
20%+40%+40% system.

Send a message via ICQ to computer
when working for someone creating them a script like this I'll usually charge:

50% upfront, 50% once they have seen it on my site and then I have sent it to them

Yep - looks like it. But he made a post on the first page of this thread, and hasn't been online since then, so he probably hasn't even seen this evidence. I'll give him a little longer, but I'm starting to think that NightShift is definitely correct.

How long shall I wait until I ban him?
