Lead Programmer/Analyst (.NET) - Los Angeles Area

JobPlex has been retained by a mall based national chain of specialty stores specializing in music licensed and music influenced apparel, accessories and gifts for the MTV generation. The target market is teenagers, ages 12 to 20. This year, Fortune Magazine ranked our client among the "100 Best Companies to Work For" and one of the “Best Mid-Sized Companies to Work For”.

Our client’s "secret weapon" is its connection to the customer. Through thousands of report cards filled out by customers each week and sent directly to the headquarters, along with a "talkback" feature on the website, the Company hears directly from their consumer. Clearly inspired by what's happening in modern rock music, the Company is quick to identify a new band or new product featured on an artist. Keeping their finger on the pulse first hand is the key to staying ahead of the curve. Their employees are the eyes and ears across the country. In fact, employees are reimbursed for the cost of a concert ticket in exchange for a brief fashion report highlighting the items worn by the music artists as well as the fans.
