Looking to develop an existing PHP application

Require an experienced PHP programmer who is familiar with MySQL and ideally with Ajax to some degree.

The project is to develop an existing PHP application (a database driven review website) in order to enhance its functionality and features.


There are three main installments that need to be made:

1. Multi-tier categories

To create an ability for multi-tier categories to improve the organization of review topics.

This should be thought of as similar to a message board format -> major categories with sub-categories and as many sub-categories as required.

For example:

Food -> Cheese -> Cheddar -> Brand -> Review

Ideally a review can belong to more than one category.


2. A multiple rating system per category.

An admin can add as many rating variables as they like when creating a child category. From these, it should generate an overall score for the review item.


3. User authentication system.

A backend admin panel already exists, and uses a secure auth system for login. This needs to be extended across the site for public users, along with registration. From this the admin can control the permissions of all users -> ie. whether they can create review topics or not.

There are plenty of review websites which should help understand these needs, such as http://www.ciao.co.uk.

Presently the application is not huge, around 50KB of code. So it shouldn't be too challenging to work into it with these additions.

The site is online and can be used for development -> FTP access will be granted along with phpMyAdmin if required.
