Front-endWeb Developer
We are looking for a mid-level, permalance-to-full time Web Developer to join an integrated team of designers/developers, 2d/3d designers/animators, editors, retouchers and print artists in Tribeca (NYC).
You should have great analytical skills, a strong commitment to quality, a collaborative work ethic and great coding skills. You should be familiar with the fundamentals of JavaScript (including jQuery), CSS, and HTML, and have a good command of more traditional web technologies (i.e. AS2, Flash, PHP, etc.) - in order to launch innovative digital products.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with UX designers, graphic designers, project managers, back-end developers and other front-end developers to implement versatile front-end solutions to tricky web development problems.
• Embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices in order to push the limits of what a browser can do.
• Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
• At least 4 years of experience in web development.
• Thorough understanding of web technologies (OO JavaScript, HTML, CSS), experience and drive to work with the latest web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Thorough understanding of cross browser (IE, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.) and cross platform (PC, tablet, mobile, etc.) compatibility.
• Experience with a scripting language.
• Strong sense of web design and attuned to the fundamentals of user experience.
• Ability to communicate to all levels of users (internal and external), strong problem solving skills, adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership.
