My Project Seriously.

The Real World in front of us,

Many serious people out there, creating new projects, but how many of them are really serious? : (Read this) - It is a conclusion taken by reading 70% of the messages posted here at this forum.

We have a project in our hands, we believe on it, we want to work alot on it, I will be the webmaster of my future website and will take all the financial benefits generated by this website (project).

I want to hire people, to help me accomplish this project, but you know what? - 'I Can Not Pay'.

Ladies and Gentleman, The question is coming up,
Are You, the buyer, Really Serious About What You Are Starting?.

The hobby is probably on their heads, but the reality is running at the same time, beside of them.
When we dont have an idea about the future of our business and its activities maybe we should consider buying the necessary tools to help us ourselves - A Businnes Tool for exemple.

Someone sais : "We can not eat omelet if we dont break eggs"
Is That True?

To me the term "hire" (as in the name of the forum) implies money being paid, regardless of projects profit etc., as do the terms employment, job, work, etc.

Here are words that don't always mean that:
help
partnership
volunteer work
trade/barter
internship (carefull...)
things relating to open source, charity,
etc.

It is my belief that if you post on the correct forum, use the correct terms, and give honest , adaquate information on the work and project, and possibly a portfolio of your own skills, then you do have a good chance of picking up some help.

I have basically never seen anyone do so.

Toolscripts, you will never see anyone posting a formal job with all its requirements, delais and details, you know why?
Because a forum is not the place to do it. Most of people here or anywhere else (in other forums) that are posting projects of any kind for coders to respond, they are sub-estimating their own projects, because really is not serious at all.

ok, let's imagine the scene! :

1- Buyer post its project here or in other forum,
2- A coder respond, just by saying: hey I want to do it!
3- Buyer, ask how to make contact, email, msn, icq,,,
4- Buyer and coder agree for a price,
5- Buyer ask for the job done first
6- coder ask for the money first so he can start working,
7- Lets imagine the buyer sent the money and the coder
completed the work.
8- The Buyer now looking at the job, he finds that something is misssing or need more adjustments...
9- By chance Coder accepts to continue making changes, How long ? - That depends of the patience of the coder.

Do you think what I am describing here is secure?

Just my 2 cents.

I see it all the time.

The forum is a place to do it or it wouldn't be named what it is. If it's not secure, well thats up to the users.

I don't expect calls for volunteer work etc. to be formal, I would like them to be detailed, accurate, and honest.

panter011,

I know you're trying to sell ACoderNow.com, and it looks like a great idea, but why are there only three job postings there today (9/1/2004)?

Are you the owner of ACoderNow.com?

Yes I am the owner, esteward, yes there are 3 posted jobs and are from me, I have started ACoderNow.com week ago (aprox) and I am in need of an online marketer as posted in one of the jobs there.

I am planning to contacting banner exchages networks to probably have the results ACoderNow needs.

Other well known websites like RentACoder.com, GetACoder.com ... and some others are taking from 8% to 20% of the completed projects prices, So to have a decent launch, ACoderNow.com is only taking 5% per completed job and of course signups are free.

We can go for now with 5% because of the lower resources we are using right now, (hosting charges, space, our script is no mysql involved which is already a good way to save some additional cost.

A lot of use of Cron jobs to make the repetitives task and avoid to much human presence to make some operations.

We simply hope this is going to be useful for eveyone world wide, since the system is absolutly secure and all the transactions are made with paypal.

Thank you for askiing, If you need anything else, I am around here.

Well I take the opportunity to explain what I am trying to say since I came to this forum, I know there are plenty of people like you that have already understood how the Escrow System works for Coders and Buyers... however for those that did not yet realize how confortable is working for a buyer (or viceversa) that way, with this system.

The coder is already sure that the money is deposited in the system waiting to be released to him, when the job is completed. and on the other side, the buyer is sure that the coder will finish the project because the money is not yet on his hands, and only will be paid when he, the buyer is 100% satisfied.
