Need Programmer/Consultant VB.Net-Need Quote Est 1-Project

I am a newby and trying to get the VB and Access figured out. At work there was a decision to get a CAD/Document control system developed exclusivally for company use.

In general (Not to give out propriatary info). We are a company that designs specialised custom machines. We have gigs upon gigs of CAD Drawings and models. On top of it we have multiple engineers from mechanical , packaging and etc.

I need to develop a system to control all the engineering documents to include CAD drawings and models. Some of the controls would include model property managment and securing the originals while allowing copies to be modified for revisions and not disturb the originals. With this we need to provide a signature system to log and mark on the drawings development by/date , checked by/date & released by/date.

This is a broad discription at best. The thinking is to use Access 2002 for the database and VB6 for the control application. There are other fuctions we will need.

What I am searching for is a programmer that cad develop & consult - provide guidance for me to fill in the blanks. Ultamately the project will start off with a foundation of a database with a little VB controls and introducxe it into the system. Then build on to it. Be advised this is a definate need. We are a medical device mfg and must meet FDA requirements by this years end so timing will be fast track.

I need a programmer that can get things started by coding, training and assisting me directly in this development.

The Director expects we will be needing this to begin in 2 weeks.

I realize that this project has been posted for some time. Was curios to find out the status at this time. I am currently working on a base for a Document Management System that would include revisioning etc. This would be able to be used thru a TCP/IP (Intranet) System or even an external if so exposed.

All of this however is being built with .Net Technology and can use any standard database technology. Access SQL or could be expanded to easily use Oracle etc.
