We're looking for a senior level programmer with extensive Javascript/PHP/MySQL experience/expertise to help wrap up an eCommerce project based upon osCommerce (
http://www.oscommerce.com). In a nutshell, we need someone to rewrite how product attributes are handled by the script so that if specified from the admin of the script, a product's attribute dropdown menu can dynamically affect the variables of a second attribute dropdown menu (etc).
Further, in this online store (offset printing company), quantities for a product are fixed and specified in a dropdown rather than entered into a text field. We would also need this to be customized so that the quantity dropdown allows product weights to be specified per product, allowing proper shipping values to be calculated during checkout.
As stated, the script is 98% done and currently functional, but require a bit more tweaking to suit our business. All data is stored in MySQL and the base script is almost entirely PHP with some Javascript already coded in. Anyhow, osCommerce experience is a plus, but not neccessary. However, the script is quite complex already, so someone truly masterful in Javascript in particular, and very well experienced in PHP/MySQL is respectfully requested. Obviously, we expect the code to work consistently and remain stable across platforms and browsers. Further, we'd also like a changelog kept of the work, and all modifications to be commented.
This work is for a major offset printing company who is willing to pay generously for a solution within a reasonable period of time. Anyone interested is asked to email a quick summary of their experience/background, as well as any relevant links to previous work to allen-at-gtcmedia-dot-com.
