New York City - Fixed Income Developers - C/C++

INVESTMENT BANK SEEKING Fixed Income Developers:

Candidates Must have 5+ years of Fixed Income Trading Systems Experience!!

Candiates MUST have strong C++ development experience in a Unix environment. Java / Unix experience will also be considered.

Will hire the candidates as Contract, Contract to Perm or Perm!

Overview:
The Fixed Income Technology Team is responsible for building and delivering execution, pricing, STP, and middle tier solutions for the Fixed Income Business. The team is responsible for full system life cycle from design, implement and support systems for all of the Fixed Income trading desks such as Treasuries, Agencies, Corporate, EM, MBS, ABS, and Repos. The team faces off to various trading desks directly, and provides integration with ECN platforms such as TradeWeb, Market Axess, eSpeed, BrokerTec, and Garban.

Main function of the job:
To be a key member of a team dedicated to design, develop, and support applications for various fixed income pricing and trading functions in a fast paced, dynamic real-time environment. Maintain and enhance Forest Trading System. Must be comfortable with 80/20 developments to support ratio.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Supporting the US Broker/Dealer deal capture and related processing including, Unix back end processes, NT front-end, reporting facilities, and Sybase database. Interface heavily with traders and back office personnel regarding trading Treasuries, Agencies, Corporate, EM, MBS, ABS, and Repos securities.

Qualifications /Education:
Min 4 yr Degree with computer science, mathematical, or engineering concentration from a top tier university; Solid work / track record

Experience required:
Must have 5-7 years C++ / UNIX with strong C++ design and coding skills;
5+ years of experience in a financial development environment; years
5+ Strong Fixed Income Trading Systems Experience
Direct exposure and interaction with traders;
Strong Unix background;
Prefer some Perl and SQL.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Familiarity with MQSeries and Tibco
