offering a job :)

Greetings!

I hope I put that in the correct forum, but I didnīt find a better fitting categorie:

I am currently using a VPS at vpscolo.com and would need a person that does the setup for me for the start, since I donīt know anything about server-admin. I am using WHM/cpanel on an apache based server.

Here is what I would need:

the easy part:
setup some private nameservers and the basis setup of the server like hostname and all that stuff.

the more tricky part (at least to me since I donīt know jack about all that):
I would need some minor adjustements in mySQL that would force mySQL to be recompiled to work.

So this would be a one-time-job where I would send the amount of payment by paypal or whatever payment method you prefer.

As I am new to that whole stuff I donīt know how such a thing (I guess it shall be around 1-3 hours of work, but am not sure about that either) would cost, so I donīt know wether my budget would allow me at all, but I guess I shall be able to manage that. Basically I would be happy if you could send me a PM if being interested, how much you would exspect for it and I will of course answer every PM sent to me

One last thing to not have that gotten wrong: vpscolo support did help me a lot already and I guess the thing I mentioned in the easy part is up almost, but in my opinion I already stressed their support cause of my bad knowledge and wanna prevent to stress them more. Basically the prob is, that they are helping me big time, but I know jack about that whole stuff, so I think the better way would be if I can find someone here that sets the above-mentioned things up once and I can work from there - easier for vps, easier for me and some money for the person that does it

Thx for reading through all of that,
best regards, pdoms

Yeah, that seemed like an easy job. I'd of done if for you for free, just for the learning experience. I finished setting up my Nameserver yesterday, so I would love to get more experience with it.
