Question Program Skill Test Sheet?

I don't know much about programmings. And been wondering, what when it comes to hire a programmar, but you want to test his/her skill. Obviously, you don't know the programmings, so you can really decide. I wonder, if there are example skill test sheet for common development programme languages used in the business fields.
