Rentacoder or Acodernow

Are both sites equally reputable or is one better than the other?

I never heard of acodernow but rentacoder is very reputable

acodernow is familiar to me only from this devshed topic

All I know is they send people here to ****ing spam about their sites!

Lets see RentAcoder charges 15%! Even though they have a ton of options. But http://www.codercc.com is much cheaper and has all the same options & more options! Its much cheaper. They also run a different operation (Apache/Linux).

Acodernow cant be compared to codercc or rentacoder. There are A ton of sites like acodernow. You can buy that script for $110 from a company and run your own freelance website. The thing is they dont many options at all. Its very general. There is also no insurance considering its 1 person running a hobby website...

You can compare if you want, but the only way to know it is buy using their interfaces.

The differeces come when you make the transactions (pay the coders) , for example, If you are willing to pay 15% plus, of the bid made by the coder, you are free to do it. Because the other site ACoderNow is taking 7% of the price coder bid. It is absolutely your choice.

ACoderNow.com can't have the same reputation as RentACoder.com because of the time in business, ACoderNow.com is online since Augost 31st 2004 while RentACoder.com is working since year 2001.

Competitors? - Yes if we look the type of business, but in reality, I think ACoderNow.com don't plan to take its customers out of RentACoder.com, but new people, new freelancers and buyers that have not yet started using the Escrow System ACoderNow propose.

For those that don't know what an escrow system is :
It works like the following:
1- Buyer post a project,
2- Coders bid on it (description of its bid, with a few comments about the process of project completion)
3- Buyer choose the Coder, and PUT THE MONEY ON ESCROW, This money can only be released when the work is finished by the coder.
4- Coder can view within its account, that the money is waiting for him in the escrow system, and coder will receive that money only when the work is completed and accepted by the buyer.

Every Freelancer (Buyer or Coder) are the real winners of theses systems because its security about the relation between both parties.

Im going to have to disagree with you there... The trust isnt between the two parties. A 10 year old child can buy a freelance script (the one acodernow) along with many other sites for $110. Then they can open up their own website. The escrow can go directly into the 10 year olds pocket leaving the two other parties with nothing. The 10 year old can also put the % down to 3%. Alright I will admit Codercc is mine. You caught me... But so what, My product is the best because I have the most options along with the best %.
If you disagree with me about the "NULL" freelance websites, we will compare.

Be careful of what are you saying against any company or individual, they can take your comments seriously and start any legal action against you. As far as I can see, you are probably inventing all of your affirmations.

To continue about Escrow Systems, see barnokian11 and others, whatever sites you want to use, it is the best thing to do when you want to contract someone especially if the other party is not at the corner of your home.

Now let's talk about reputation a buyer or a coder can build themselves thanks to the "Rating Systems" both sites have, where buyers and coders can rate themselves after any project completion. New people (coders and buyers) can see in public pages about their ratings, theses rates reflects the specific user's behaviour as what he/she is (coder or buyer), so obviously, contracting will run smoothly.

Today many freelancers thanks to theses interfaces are making real career and of course money.

barnokian11 doesn't appear to be the same person though, so I think this thread was started fairly unless someone covered their tracks very well.

well there is one big problem with rentacoder imho. too many people on there. and to top it off you will get underbid every time. also but not least. if you take something into abitration the buyer will more than likely win even if you are right about something.

Now, panter, javier and I, we are not the same person but we work together and we use different computers but connected with one router or whatever called.

The fact, is that we don't understand the messages of Mr. rkprogramming, we think this person is going against any professionalism. We hope this will stop with this thread.

His messages are clearly showing that he is using "No Honest" methods about business competition.

We believe that is a simple misunderstood.
