Sky and Beyond, back to work after the holidays.

Sky and Beyond, back to work after the holidays.
Our MMORPG dev team is going back to work now, and weve lost some team, so were recruiting again. Our game is striving to change the MMORPG world as we know it. And the game world with it. Our fighting system is totally interactive, and so is our crafting system. When you fight, youll have to dodge, when you make an item, youll have to specify how long or how wide you want it to be. Everything in SaB will be different, never play like youve played before again.

What were looking for is people who are serious about working on a project, and are looking for some resume work to post as probono. Yes, that means this is FREE work. We are not giving any pay for this work. As of now we have a very compitent staff of over 20 people, and are working on getting more.

The engine we are using is the NeL (nevrax.org) engine used in the MMORPG Ryzom, and is the first ever totally opensource 3d mmorpg engine.

Jobs:

3d modelers:
We need 3dsMAX users and Maya users.
Modelers will have to work off of concept art, and will be doing all types of artistic work, not just your simple boxes and buildings you see in most games. We are striving for an artistic world, and something new.
We also need animators, and UV unwrappers for both maya and max.
The poly count on our models are allowed to be pretty high, so we have a lot of flexability for modelers.

2d artists:
2d artist are needed for texturing, UI development, GUI development, webpage art, and ect.
Any programs are allowed, and any format of painting are irrelevant.
2d artists will also follow somewhat guidlines for certain things from the concepters.

Concept Artists:
Concept artists are the heart of art in a game.
CA's drawings are preffered to be done by hand, but drawings done in CG are just as well appreciated. (And for somethings more appreciated, like char sketches using rulers)
Were looking for creative people, and people who have ideas to contribute.

Designers:
We still have a lot of place for designers, we want to keep the game pumping, and for that new ideas are always wanted. If you want our design document, then you can email me asking for a copy of it.

Coders:
Coders are most desperatly needed.
The engine is .NET and C++. Information on the engine can be found at www.nevrax.org , and a sample of the engine can be round at www.ryzom.com .
For detailed information on the engine i can put anyone who needs it in touch with experienced NeL programmers.

If you are interested in ANY of the job openings, then please email us at skyandbeyond@gmail.com .

Also for additional information on our game please check www.twoworldsapart.com/skyandbeyond .

Jesse 'GrandMoren' James . Lead modeler.
