Urgent Job, Images need resized

Urgent job, I have about 100ish images that need rezised in proportion to a specified size. Because they are all different sizes this means you will not just batch them, but they must be done one by one.

I've been using fireworks, resizing the images, then altering the canvas size so the image takes up most of the space.

Im then using the batch function to resize them to the thumbnails etc, but i dont need you to do that.

For like $20 or so, anyone up for a bit of resizing / cropping?

Regards

I could write a PHP script that will do this in 5 minutes.

That's for resizing - not cropping

DAMMIT! I waited the few hours afterwards but after no reply had to sit and do them.

Cheers for the offers, but this sorta stuff catches up with us a lot; I'll bump this thread if we get heavy again!

Off to post in the other forums looking for an (intellegient) app that could handle this...

looks as thought these are going to have to be done this evening and tomorrow, I shall contact everyone who's replied so far, if anyone else is interested please reply with your details here.

no php scripts or anything like that; the images need physically resized for an ecommerce site, and muct not be done as batch (lazy) as they will go squidgy and disproportionate.

I wrote a php script just yesterday that resizes images proportionately to a maximum height/width, whichever is larger in the image, and keeps them to scale. Arguably, GD may not provide as good a quality result as some imaging programs, but I think even this is debatable with proper use of imagecopyresampled().

Discuss.

no more PM's about php scripts resizing or anything about php modules and GD etc PLEASE.

iv clearly said the images have to be actually altered, size and cropped.

until i start working on the back end of the site with the ecommerce dept they've to be manually edited...
