want to work as a trainee web designer

hi,

i want to work as a trainee web designer in order to get some real life experience and build career as a full time web developer in the near future.i have a very basic knowledge of the following:

html
css
java script
cold fusion
dreamweaver mx
fireworks mx
ms access

right now i m teaching myself php at a very slow pace.i have no idea as what asp,asp.net,sql server and orcale mean.actually i want to develop into a good back end programmer (php+mysql and/or asp+sql server in particular).i m not good at all at graphics (photoshop etc) or flash stuff.since i m keen on buidling a career into web design (ie back end programming).i m not much bothered abt the money to be paid while doing the training but i want to learn some thing solid and meaningful.i would work only in scotland due to some reasons.there are a plenty of job sites that i have already tried but still i have not been able to find a single design company in scotland that would like to hire trainees.i have also mailed a lot of companies regrading this but to no avail.i really need some serious help from you guys who are professionals in this field.plz reply to this with necessary suggestions and i m sorry to repeat that i will work only in scotland.
thanks a lot.....................

I just recently started a job in Aberdeen, Scotland, as a trainee Web Designer and Developer.

It's great.

Try some of the colleges, they may be able to put you in contact with someone.

Search google for scottish web design companies and give them a ring.

A' the best.
