Wanted: Front-End HTML and CSS coder (NYC, on-site)

ID Society is seeking a FULL-TIME, self-motivated FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPER with previous professional experience. Front-End Web Developers work with Art Directors, Flash Developers, and Back-End Web Developers to integrate design and functional elements to create web sites and Flash Applications.

You must be New York City based and able to work full-time on-site at our location in Chelsea.

THIS IS NOT A DESIGN OR FLASH DEVELOPER POSITION. We are looking for a hard-core front-end coder with experience using web standards to build XHTML/CSS based sites for major brands. The right candidate owns both editions of the pelican book, knows what sIFR is, has Zeldman, Shea, Cederholm et al subscribed in their RSS feed reader, and can hack a stylesheet "properly".

Required Skills

* Minimum two years of professional experience. Interactive Agency experience preferred.
* You must be an expert in: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Web Standards.
* Ability to implement "table-less" layouts using XHTML/CSS.
* Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment.
* Strong communication and technical writing skills. You will be required to read and create documentation.

Beneficial Skills

* Experience working with web-based applications that use dynamic content (PHP, XML, ect.).
* LAMP development environment experience.
* CVS.

ID Society is a full-service Interactive Agency with award-winning design, innovative technologies, and expertise in strategic interactive marketing. Providing innovative digital solutions that reflect evolving trends in the marketplace, ID Society builds value and extends relationships through branded interaction.

Please apply by sending a resume, as well as samples of sites which show work that would be relevant to this sort of position (i.e. sites where you have provided HTML/CSS coding), along with a desciption of your experience in this area. Send to htmljobs@idsociety.com.
