WANTED: Permanent Chief Technical Officer Required in London

TRANSMISSION FILMS INTERNATIONAL – (www.transmissionfilms.com) one of the largest established online distributors of speciality cinema, is relocating to Hammersmith in the UK, and looking for a permanent Chief Technical Officer to act as programmer and designer within our rapidly growing company.

Since 2002, our company has been setting the pace in the legal distribution of pay-per-view and subscription film via internet download and now has a subscriber base of over 60,000 film-lovers and an advertising presence in over 30 million consumer homes through advertising in conjunction with our shareholders MetaMachine (who are the brains behind Edonkey and Overnet - the biggest file-sharing programs around).

Our cutting edge in-house technology gives us the ability to provide our discerning customers with near-DVD quality feature, documentary and short films at lightning fast download speeds, whilst Microsoft Digital Rights Management enables us retain the integrity of content-provider copyright. Our current administration system has been extensively developed and tested for over 15 months, and we are now looking to re-design and launch the site towards the end of the year with a huge number of quality independent films.

We are currently looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial and motivated technician to act as Chief Technical Officer at the top of our organisation. Skills should include advanced Flash design, JSP- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and SQLServer.
Knowledge of IIS, XML and XML Parsing is also preferable but not essential.

The applicant should also show a keen interest in the latest technology and a desire to learn. We would ideally like previous experience in a commercial context, although this is not essential.

We appreciate there are quite a few requirements, but the successful candidate will not only benefit from a strong equity package in the company, but an impressive salary if he/she can help TF become the world leader in specialist on-line film. You will join a very flexible and motivated team, and be positioned at the top of a rapidly expanding organisation.
