Wanted: SQL (superman/superwoman) programmer full time in NYC
We are a leading graphics digital service bureau with a roster of well known clients. We have an exceptional opportunity in our spacious Manhattan office for a programmer who lives and breaths code, knowledgeable in Internet applications. This individual will be part of our tight knit interactive production team building and maintaining customized B2B web sites for our clients, producing experimental concepts and exploring possibilities. Development of databases, applications for online ordering, digital asset management, and digital workflow process, is the core of our department.
Qualified candidates will have solid experience with database development and Internet applications. Applicants must be knowledgeable with SQL, MYSQL, IS, Apache, ASP, PERL, CGI, XML, ASP, and HTML. Knowledge of WebNative, PHP, Quark, and other industry standard graphics programs a plus.
If you have the ability to modify graphics device drivers for our high end printers and scanners your are our hero. If you don’t know device drivers, we still want you to apply if you meet the other requirements.
You have a willingness to explore ideas, play, and learn new tools and applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills, research savvy, and organization skills, ability to multi-task, and play well with others under deadline pressure are all musts. Our work environment is structured around self motivation and team interaction.
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not necessary, if you meet the requirements.
