Wanted: UK Based PHP/MySQL Web Developer

Hi,

I'm looking for a web developer who tends to specialise in PHP and MySQL but has had a dabble with other technologies also.

Maybe you have a full-time job as a web developer, but your contract allows you to do extra work in the evenings and holidays, or maybe you are a freelance developer and have some spare time in between contracts.

I've been in business for about a year and specialise in selling IT equipment but as part of that i have started to sell web application solutions to small to medium sized enterprises. I am looking for someone who can work as part of my team. I have a web designer on board and then there is myself, i do the general management of the business. I have had a php programmer on board in Pakistan for the past year but i have found i have had to do too much hand holding and i need someone who is able to work on their own initiative and be aware of the latest web development trends and technologies (<== this is a must)

At the moment im only bringing in about 1 project a month that requires say about 5 to 10 hours of work, if that, but the point is i'm looking for someone who i can develop a long term business relationship/friendship with, and someone who can help me grow.

Im looking for the following credentials as a guideline:-

- UK based (this is a must)
- Reliable, dependable and friendly person
- general passion for web development
- 1-2 years of php/mysql experience (as a minimum)
- javascript
- previous sample projects for me to see
- 5-10 hours to spare a month if i have any work for the person to do.
- serious attitude towards work on any given projects as i wish to maintain high profile

On occassion i will ask you to help me fix little bits n bobs of work that may have been left over by my old programmer. For this you can charge me an hourly rate or negotiate something with me as i am always open to negotiation as i believe in benefit for everyone involved.
In general i tend to grab open source solutions , such as OsCommerce for customers and then ask my programmer and designer to customise them to suit the clients needs.
im not doing anything big at the mo. most jobs are under £1000 that i have done in the past.

I will consider all people charging all kinds of rates, as price is not the most important factor, i am mainly looking for the credentials mentioned above.
Perhaps you are an extremely experienced developer and can do most jobs in 50% of the time as others and charge twice as much as anyone else, or perhaps you have very low rates because you want to build up your portfolio.

In most cases i will ask you to quote me for a given project with a certain number of revisions and changes incorporated into the quote as well as a support contract to help me with any bug fixes or troubleshooting etc(dont want to sound to corporatey here )

I dont mind if you work from home, or have your own office.
Just as long as you are easily contactable and can help me maintain a high profile with any potential customers i may have.

Unfortunately i do not have office space of my own that i can provide you with, but will help with any other resources tht you may need.
