Write me a simple game script, it'll be fun, and you'll get paid

Hi all!

I am looking for a very simple game script... it can be coded however you want. Here is what the game comprises of:

I want it to time how long it takes the game's player to type the alphabet. Yep, that's it. A user clicks in a form box, starts typing away, and it keeps track of their time from the second they type their first key. If the string is equal to "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz" then I want it to ask them for their name and then automatically post on that page their rank in a Top 50 breakdown. I would like the option to delete an entry if it's profane. Better yet, maybe you could code in a word filter that replaces bad keywords with **** like a forum would.

Doable? Excellent. If you know what you're doing, you could probably find this somewhere and rip it, or write it up in about 1/2 hour. Let me know your prices - I have Linux cpanel server supporting php, MySQL, etc. and I'll just create you an FTP account to work in at www.webdesigngt.com/alphabet/

Contact me at lundy [at] webdesigngt.com or "Web Design GT" on AIM for more details - and include a price. Thanks!

I am quite sure that this 'could be' fun, but to me, this sounds too much like a homework assignment. Now, if we were to tackle your homework for you, what would you learn ( besides how much it may cost you in the long run to buy all of your other assignments)?

Regards,

jlk

That's quite an accusation to make without knowing a person. Are you always that judgemental?

I suppose I can understand it sounds like a homework assignement, but this is actually for the satisfaction of competition between my friends and I.

I'm programming MIPS in assembly language for my Electrical Engineering degree at Penn State. I WISH I got assignments as easy as this probably is - I just don't feel like learning this myself, nor do I have time.

"Regards,"

-Steve

You're right - it is just a small script that I am calling a game.
