Animated GIFs
Forgive me if this is the wrong forum - I've only ever posted on the PHP forums much...
Okay, so heres what I've done so far: 1) Loaded up The GIMP 2 2) Opened a PNG image 3) Opened more as layers 4) Saved as GIF with a 5000 milisecond timing to change frames My animted image works brilliantly, but I want to know how to make a sort of "transition effect" to it - basically I want it to fade into the next one - not just with no transitition. |

I don't know an automated way to do it.
While this is the correct forum, it's also relatively low traffic, so I'll move this to the HTML forum, where someone might offer a suggestion.

you would have to manually create layers with transparent applied - 80% 60% 40%.
Or you can use code to apply this on the website itself - think jquery would do the trick. Or flash. |

Erm... Well this was in a image forum - before it was moved. So flash and websites are just nothing to do with this. |

apg1985 was suggesting alternative solutions to achieve transitions between images. Did you really intend to sound ungrateful for his thoughts on this matter?
And actually this wasn't in a forum dedicated to topics about images. I moved this thread from the "web design help" forum. |
