I am having a very frustrating problem with Posting Acceptor running on Windows 2000 under IIS 5.0. I'll try to be brief...
The problem seems to be that it is not allowing a user to upload a file with anonymous user access. Whenever I try and upload a file as an anonymous user, a Challenge/Response pops up and asks me to validate who I am...
I have set anonymous access to the scripts directory as well as the target directory. I have enabled anonymous access in the registry settings. I have checked that the directories under IIS Manager have the necessary permission (executable and write access respectively).
I'm pretty positive that the permissions have been correctly set, as I can upload files as long as I am not an anonymous user (the permissions for both the anonymous user and the validated user are the same). I have also checked MSDN extensively to see if this is a known problem under Win2000...
The thing that frustrates me the most is that it has been working quite happily under NT4. We recentyl upgraded to Windows 2000 and since then I have had nothing but trouble with Posting Acceptor...
So finally I get to my questions: Does anyone know how to get posting acceptor uploading with anonymous access? Does anyone know of any reason why it should not work?
Thanks for any feedback...
