I have a HTML page which behaves differently on Netscape and IE. Is there any website/book which lists the difference and how to resolve the difference.

And also is it okay to assume that a page which works fine with IE, will also work with AOL (since it uses IE as its web browsing engine)

TIA

tghosh,

many books list SOME of the differences between ie and ns...but the best teacher is experience. for example, ns doesn't read percentages the same as ie, but i haven't seen a book that documents this. for a nice beginner/reference book, i use 'html for the world wide web: visual quickstart guide' from peachpit press (i use it all the time for reference), and more advanced problems, i go to 'using html 4, xml, and java 1.2: platinum edition' from que. i would also just go down to the local barnes & noble (or equivilent) and browse through the computer programming books to find one that really fits your needs. as far as websites, sorry, i really don't know any (hey-i got my books). ;)

and about aol...i've heard that it displays things differently sometimes, but that is also with flash...i haven't heard of any adverse effects in html. i would assume that it would depend on the version of ie that's on the system...

if you have some more specific questions, let me know and i 'll try to help... anyway, i hope this helps. ;)
