How do I get text to blink on all browsers?
The "<blink> tetx </blink>" command is only working in Netscape, and not in IE or AOL. Help! Thanks |

The <blink> tag is not a part of the HTML standard and was created by NS so that is why it only works in NS. A solution for IE browsers could be made. However just as a tip...making text blink detracts from a web site. Most people find it annoying. That is why the blink tag never became part of the standard as it was not too popular. If you wanted to proceed with it though it could be done in IE by changing the color properties of the font to match the background color or by putting the text inside of a layer and toggling the visiblity of the layer. Using a setInterval you can set it to change at whatever speed that you specify. If you would like further help on this try asking this question in another forum that I help to moderate at:
