I do some very basic web design for my site. I use Frontpage and have had some problems setting up a form page. I can't get the follow-up or confirmation page set up. Server extensions have been installed, I created the site then imported into the Frontpage Web structure.
If you have any ideas or if you are able to trouble-shoot this from the code, here is the form page http://www.kleiberrealestate.com/_derived/PropertyRequest.htm Thanks for your help! ------------------ Jon Kleiber Richardson Kleiber Walter http://www.SarasotaWarehouses.com platinumadvice@home.com [This message has been edited by platinumadvice (edited October 23, 2000).] |

It gives a 404 Not Found when you click submit. What happens with the information after it is submitted?

Interesting. I don't get that, I get a Run-Time component error message. On IIS, I am unable to set up the Frontpage server extensions on that website and any other new ones that I try. I get an error message that says, "the document root of the web already contains a disk-based web" I think that is my problem somehow. I have 4 other Frontpage webs with the server extensions already installed, but I am unable to set up any more new ones. I have searched MS technet, but have found little to help with the disk-based web error message.
And to answer your question, the results don't go anywhere. It seems that lack of server extensions are causing the problem. Any ideas. Thanks for trying to help!! Jon |

Update: I have two webs with the problems. The default website on IIS I tried converting to a Frontpage web and also adding the server extensions. That's where I get the document root of the web server already contains a disk-based web error.
The other website, which successfully took the Frontpage server extensions gets the 404 file not found error. So I do have 2 separate problems, and I don't know how to start on either of them. Thanks again! |

I'd learn perl. It's dead easy, and more stable than frontpage extensions. Try hosting on www.f2s.com, and see if it works. It could be a prob at their end, not yours
