i started my site back in feb 2000. i used a combo of html/f-page2000.now when i access it,it does not open some of my files(background jpg.and the opening wav.)

i've tried several times to update my site with fp2000 but it changes everytime. now look, for about 10 months on and off i've been frustrated by fp2000.

i don't really like it.it just came with OFFICE 2000. can anybody suggest
a good cheap editor for slowbirds like me?
(other than notepad)

what is everybody else using, by the way?
thanks a lot--jw

Do you prefer WYSIWYG or text? I can tell you that the number of highquality/low price WYSIWYG editors out there is few and far between. However, there are some outstanding text based ones that can get the top done. Try out this if interested:

EvrSoft 1st Page http://www.evrsoft.com/download/

It's an outstanding text-based editor that I've tried out many times. Unbelievable amount of tools, an html checker utilizing HTML Tidy, and scripts galore.

yes colin, this is a good one. i also like the html-kit by chami.com. i'm going to decide on one and stay with it.one of my problems, is that i bounced around two editors the first time.
WRONG! i'm playing with both of these and deciding on ONE only! 1st page is starting to look very good.

i'm not going to fix my old page, just start from scratch.(my old page) www.jwweir.com

i use a lot of jpg.s and right now my scanner is 3 years old and not delivering clear pictures.so i'm a little handicapped on what i want to do.

thanks for the reply,jw

I like to use the html-helper-mode of emacs ( http://www.emacs.org/ ) for the editing itself and (here comes the shameless self promotion) the dolt ( http://www.dorward.co.uk/dolt.html ) for site management.
