Strictly speaking, only HTML5. You would be best learning at least the basics of CSS3 and JQuery too. Depending on exactly what you want to do, you may want to learn a server side language too (get your head around html and css first though), you would be best looking at PHP or ASP.NET. Assuming your visual basic knowledge is VB.NET, I would recommend ASP.NET. There are a lot more factors that should go into choosing a language than that too, like if you want to be using Linux servers, then go for PHP. Long story short, read up on some that you may want to learn and see which is right for you.

in theory, nothing. You mention html experience, so run with that. Use a text editor like notepad++ to write your code etc.
